Service Center Practicum

The practicum is a four-day immersive experience designed to build skill, confidence, and empathy.

  • Days 1 & 3: Rotate through roles—facilitator, participant, and observer—with instructor support.
  • Days 2 & 4: Integration-focused—reflect, share, and learn from the experience.

You’ll gain real-world practice and deepen your understanding of safe, ethical facilitation.

Each room in the service center is inspired by an element and includes:

  • Comfortable journey day beds
  • Pillows, comforters, and weighted blankets
  • Noise-canceling headphones
  • Eye masks for sensory support

Alternative Practicum

Held at the school in Eugene, this practicum does not use plant medicine. Students learn facilitation skills through meditation, breathwork, and role-play. They explore different ways to reach conscious awareness, grow personally, and practice in a safe, creative environment that builds empathy and self-awareness.
